Unkempt Lawns in The Preserve Starting to Become an Issue
There in an increasingly prevalent issue in The Preserve neighbourhood with the length of lawns in the area getting out of control.
The Town of Oakville bylaw regarding the acceptable length of grass is as follows:
“The town’s property standards by-law requires all property owners to maintain their properties so they are kept neat and tidy, free of garbage and not allow grass to become overgrown and unsightly. Grass and weeds cannot exceed 20.33 centimetres (8 inches) in height. These rules apply to both owned and rented dwellings.”
Although not a pressing issue, this deserves some attention, as we would like our neighbourhood to maintain a respectable standard. Pride of ownership is one of the expectations people have when moving to Oakville, and some properties in The Preserve are just not keeping up to these standards.
